Salman Khan’s much-anticipated film, Sikandar, directed by A.R. Murugadoss and co-starring Rashmika Mandanna, is set to release this Eid. The film has generated significant buzz, leading to various predictions about its opening day box office performance.
Film business expert Rohit Jaiswal, in an exclusive conversation with Filmibeat, predicts that Sikandar is expected to collect between ₹35-38 crore on its first day. If this projection holds true, the film will set several box office records:
-
Highest Opener of 2025: Surpassing Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava, which collected ₹31 crore on its opening day.
-
Second Highest Eid Opener for Salman Khan: Following Bharat (2019), which earned ₹42.30 crore on its first day.
-
Fourth Highest Opener for Salman Khan in a Decade: After Tiger 3, Bharat, and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo.
-
Second Highest Opener for Rashmika Mandanna: Following Animal, which had an opening collection of ₹63.80 crore.
-
Highest Opener for Kajal Aggarwal in Bollywood: Marking her most successful opening in the Hindi film industry.

However, some reports suggest even higher expectations. According to a report by Koimoi, Sikandar is eyeing an opening of over ₹50 crore. If achieved, this would make it Salman’s highest Eid opener, surpassing Bharat‘s ₹42.30 crore.
For context, Salman’s previous release, Tiger 3, recorded an opening day collection of nearly ₹45 crore on Diwali, becoming his biggest opener to date.
Given the film’s star-studded cast, festive release timing, and the actor’s strong fan base, Sikandar is poised for a substantial opening. The actual box office figures will ultimately depend on audience reception and word-of-mouth following its release.
